Night Riding must be pre authorized.

Park Rules

The PARK will be operated in compliance with the following rules. These rules will be clearly posted at all entrances to the facility. PARK rules will be reviewed annually and any required changes or modifications to the rules will be updated in the PLAN and on all park signage.

PERSONS RIDING NON-MOTORIZED, ACTIVITY SPECIFIC BICYCLES

PEDESTRIANS PERMITTED ON DESIGNATED MULTI-USE TRAILS AND SPECTATING AREAS

PERSONS USING OTHER RECREATIONAL AMENITIES AS DESIGNATED

CHILDREN UNDER AGE OF THIRTEEN (13) MUST BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES BY A PARENT OR OTHER RESPONSIBLE CARETAKER AGE EIGHTEEN (18) OR OVER, EXCEPT WITH SPECIAL PERMISSION

DOGS MUST BE ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES

CLASS 1 EBIKES ARE WELCOME

UNAUTHORIZED USERS

NO PERSONS RIDING MOTORCYCLES OR OTHER MOTORIZED VEHICLES

NO EQUESTRIANS ALLOWED

RECOMMENDED SAFETY EQUIPMENT

RIDERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR WEARING A HELMET WITH CHIN STRAP BUCKLED

TRAIL USERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR USING LIGHTING EQUIPMENT DURING NON-DAYLIGHT HOURS

GLOVES, KNEE/SHIN PADS, ARM/ELBOW PADS, FULL FACE HELMET, ETC.

OTHER RULES

ALL PERSONS ENTERING GRIFFIN BIKE PARK ARE SUBJECT TO ADOPTED VIGO COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT PARK POLICIES NOT EXPRESSLY STATED IN THE GRIFFIN BIKE PARK SPECIAL POLICIES

USE OF THIS FACILITY AS A PARTICIPANT AND/OR A SPECTATOR IS AT EACH USER’S OWN RISK. VIGO COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT, VIGO COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD, VIGO COUNTY COUNCIL, AND /OR ANY OF ITS AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INJURIES OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, THAT RESULT FROM USE OF THIS FACILITY. USE OF THIS FACILITY IS HAZARDOUS AND PARTICIPANTS AND SPECTATORS MAY BE INJURED FROM FALLS, COLLISIONS, FOREIGN OBJECTS, AND OTHER CAUSES. USE OF THIS FACILITY IN ANY WAY INDICATES THE ACCEPTANCE OF THESE INHERENT RISKS. THE FACILITY IS MAINTAINED ACCORDING TO BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES FOR EXTREME SPORTS FACILITIES. THE FACILITY OPERATIONS PLAN INCLUDES A SCHEDULE FOR THE ROUTINE MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION OF ALL TRAILS, FEATURES AND RIDING AREAS. IF THERE ARE ANY PROBLEMS OR CONCERNS REGARDING THE CONDITION OR SAFETY OF THIS FACILITY, PLEASE NOTIFY THE VIGO COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT AT (812) 462-3392.

VIOLATION OF COUNTY, STATE, AND FEDERAL LAWS ARE PUNISHABLE BY FINE AND/OR IMPRISONMENT.
