There will be NO public parking in Griffin Bike Park Ocotober 5th and 6th. Parking will be available in the field north of our main gate for $5 per car. This is Pioneer days parking so tell them you are going to the bike park after paying.

Pump Track and Dual Slalom Races for May 19th

The Weather forecast looks nasty for tomorrows Pump Track and dual Slalom races. I will make the final call at 6 a.m. so people have a chance to drive over if needed. Remember, these are best 4 out of 5 races going toward season end awards! Stay tuned

Camp Griffin Day Camp

March 25-29!

Camp Griffin Spring Break Day Camp: We will provide bike riding clinics, Structured rides, Hikes, educational content, and fun games and activities all week at the bike park.
Ages 8-14
8:00 am to 5:00 pm each day.
$25 per day or $90 for the full week.
Registration by March 22. At the Parks office at 155 Oak St.

Wabashiki Full Moon/Moonlight Rides

Once a Month starting March 23 through December 21.

Dates: March 23, April 19, May 18, June 22, July 13, Aug 17, Sept 14, Oct 12, Nov 29, and Dec 21.

Bike the Wabashiki Trail with our Griffin Bike Park Manager and VCPRD Natural Resource Programmer on an adventurous 10-mile fundraising ride through the river bottoms. Hybrids and mountain bikes are recommended, helmets are required. Clear-lensed glasses suggested. Adult supervision is required for ages 13 and under. Bring a bike light or headlamp to light the trail. Snacks and water provided while supplies last. Payment will be accepted onsite with cash only, please.

Special “Ride” for the Fallen: To Honor and Remember all those who have paid the price for our Freedom.

Group Ride Route:

Start at the Stadium, ride around the Veterans Trail passing and honoring over 7,000 flags representing our Fallen heroes killed in Iraq and Afghanistan (8:45 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.).

Then, go north of the Park and take Heritage Trail East to Highland Lawn Cemetery for Patriot Guard ceremony at Sargent Dale Griffin’s grave site at 9:15 a.m., then attend Memorial Day presentation in the Cemetery from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Next, leave Cemetery with Police escort and bike to
Fowler Park’s front gate entrance for a special flag ceremony to honor Army Cpt. Eugene Russell Fowler. (18 miles to the Park).

Bike to Griffin Bike Park for Volunteer Appreciation Event, Manager’s State of the park speech, Fun Rides and events for Kids, Cookout!

Griffin Bike Park Festival Weather Update

We are postponing, rescheduling,or cancelling parts of the Griffin Bike Park Festival due to incoming severe weather.

The Glow Ride and Sundance Skills Clinics will be rescheduled.
The Glow Ride and Sundance Skills clinic will be held September 14th beginning at 4 p.m.
The Friday Fright Fest Ride and Skills Clinic will be held October 26th beginning at 4 p.m.

The Indiana Interscholastic MTB Association races will be held on September 15th beginning at 11 a.m.

The GBP Dual Slalom Finals will be held September 23 beginning at 12 p.m.

The 5k and MTB XC races will be cancelled.
