Meet: VFW Post 972, 1111 Veteran Sq, Terre Haute, IN 47807

When: November 11th at 11:00 am for Veterans Day Program Ride Time: 12:00 pm immediately after the program Ride Route:

Purpose: To Honor and Remember all those who have paid the price for our Freedom. Vigo County Parks & Recreation Department Griffin Bike Park ride… to remember •

Start at the VFW and ride from 12th Street to 13th and Wabash •

• Lunch provided by Baesler’s Market

Ride 13th Street (South) all the way to Oregon Church Road Go right (West) on to Oregon Church Road over to Bono Road • Go right (North) on to Bono Road to Griffin Bike Park

There’s lots of things to do once you get to the park. Have family and friends meet you there after the ride!

Halloween Bikefest!

Come Celebrate Halloween with Griffin Bike Park! Rides, Races and Family Events all day! Kicking off at 8 a.m. with 6 and 12-hour races for various skill levels.
4 p.m. will be Kids races on the Basic Training Skills Zone.
5 p.m. Is the Kids Costume contest and Trick or Treat Trail.
6 p.m. Hot Dogs and Smores on the fire in the LZ.
8:30 p.m. 6/12 hours awards. Race registration here:

6:00 p.m. ride begins
Wabashiki Wetlands: Dewey Point Trailhead
All Ages & Skill Levels
$5 per rider
Bike the Wabashiki Trail with our Naturalist and Griffin Bike Park Manager on an adventurous 10-mile fundraising ride through the Wabash River bottoms. Hybrids and mountain bikes are preferable; however, helmets are required. Clear-lensed glasses suggested. Adult supervision is required for ages 13 and under. Bring a bike light or head lamp to light the trail. Snacks and water provided while supplies last. Payment will be accepted onsite with cash only, please. Decorate your bike with red & green. The best bike decorations will receive a gift certificate for a free weekend stay in our campgrounds.

11am:  Ribbon Cutting Grand Opening Ceremony

12 am to 1pm: Grand Opening Celebration and Free Hot Lunch

1pm- 8pm:  Kids Race, 1 mile time trial, Dirt Jump Competition, Pump Track Race, Dual Slalom Race and Lake Trail Challenge.


8am: Cross Country Bike and 5 k registration opens

10am: Cross Country Bike races begin

1pm: Durt jump and pump track demonstrations

2pm: Dual Slalom Demonstrations

3pm: 1 mile Fun Run/Walk followed by Run to Remember.
